Viridis says it is shifting from exploration to development, with focus on economic studies, permitting, financing and offtakes, while still planning more Southern Complex drilling. CEO Rafael Moreno's pay package was changed (terms in a schedule not shown); director Jose Guedes, ex-Serra Verde COO, to take a more hands-on role.

Colossus resource upgraded 140% to 493Mt at 2,508ppm TREO (601ppm magnet rare earths), up from the 201Mt maiden estimate of June 2024. Includes 329Mt measured and indicated, and a 106Mt zone above 4,000ppm. Scoping Study to follow.
ANSTO produced the maiden Southern Complex carbonate: 78% overall magnet rare earth recovery, 58% TREO, about 0.7% impurities. Similar to the Northern product (76%). Completes metallurgical testing; resource update, first environmental permit filing and Scoping Study are next.
Final batch of Southern Complex drilling assays, including hole CS-RC-0541: 50m at 8,462ppm TREO from surface, the best at Colossus so far. All grid assays are now in for the pending resource upgrade; the environmental impact assessment is near submission.
Conference presentation on Colossus. Shows 71.9m shares, $0.485 price, $34.9m market value, and cash of $5.2m (30 Sep plus the $4m raise), no debt. Repeats known project information.
ANSTO tests on a 41kg Southern Complex composite (4,561ppm TREO) recovered 83% of magnet rare earths at the cheaper pH 4.5, 0.3M setting. Higher than earlier Northern results (76% as carbonate). Carbonate production from this sample is next.
Viridis and Ionic Rare Earths formed Viridion (Australian and Brazilian companies) as the vehicle for their April 2024 refining and recycling joint venture. Scoping studies planned January 2025; a non-binding MoU was signed with SENAI/FIEMG's Lab Fab magnet laboratory. No funding amounts stated.
Reverse-circulation drilling at Cupim South returned thick, high-grade intercepts, e.g. 50m at 2,999ppm TREO from surface and 14m at 6,644ppm. 75% of assays are in; an updated resource and Scoping Study follow. Cupim South maiden carbonate testing has begun.
14 Oct 2024capital raising announcement● NeutralMajor
Viridis raised A$4m via a placement of about 7.69m shares at $0.52, a 9.57% discount to last close, well below the $1.25 April raise. Tranche two (~A$0.9m) needs approval at the 29 November AGM. Company says funding runs through the DFS if options are exercised.
What it means for a shareholder
7.7m new shares at $0.520 to raise about $4.0m. Shares on issue before the raise aren't in the record, so the dilution can't be worked out.
ANSTO produced Colossus's maiden mixed rare earth carbonate from Northern Concessions clay: 76% overall magnet rare earth recovery, 60% TREO concentration, about 1% impurities. Delivers the further metallurgy work flagged earlier; CEO says pre-feasibility study and updated resource are next.
Annual report for year to 30 June 2024, reviewing Colossus acquisition (1 Aug 2023), 201Mt maiden resource, 15,000m+ drilling and ANSTO recoveries of 76% Nd+Pr. Mostly repeats known news; financial figures not visible in the text shown.
Appendix 4G, the checklist pointing to the corporate governance statement for the year to 30 June 2024, lodged with the annual report. Administrative notice with no new substance.
Corporate governance statement as at 20 September 2024, set against ASX recommendations. Text shown indicates compliance with most, partial on gender diversity objectives. Administrative; no new business information.
Cupim South auger hole CS-AG-0085 returned 21m at 15,339ppm TREO from surface, and maiden Centro Sul auger drilling showed grades up to 6,666ppm. Cupim South now holds mining licence status; 210+ holes await assays. Maiden MREC production said to be near.
Viridis retracted the CEO's statements on Colossus project economics in the 13 August release, saying there was 'no reasonable basis' for them. Investors should not rely on them. Second retraction after the 11 July one on presentation statements.
Viridis bought seven small tenements next to Centro Sul and Cupim South for about A$131k total (198.49ha), taking its contiguous southern holding to 1,732ha. To be explored and included in the next resource upgrade. Project-economics comments in it were retracted two days later.
Step-out auger drilling next to the Cupim South resource found a continuous zone above 4,000ppm TREO, e.g. CS-AG-0173 9m at 6,551ppm from surface. Company says current high-grade feed is 47Mt at 4,000ppm and may grow; no resource change yet.
ANSTO bulk test on a 40kg Northern Concessions composite (4,472ppm TREO) recovered 76% of Nd+Pr and 65% of Dy+Tb under standard conditions. Good recoveries held at lower reagent strength and higher pH. Continues the metallurgy thread feeding the Scoping Study.
Viridis retracted two statements in the 9 and 10 July presentations about a production facility and its capacity, saying there was 'no reasonable basis' for them. Investors should not rely on them. Reflects poorly on disclosure; no operational change.
Amended version of the 9 July conference presentation, with the same corporate data. The text shown does not say what changed; the retraction on 11 July concerns statements in both versions.
