About Stockle

Last updated 9 October 2026

Stockle reads what oil, gas and mining companies disclose - their filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and their stock exchange announcements - and turns it into numbers you can test: what each company says it has in the ground, how much of it the company owns, what it plans to do next, and how that compares with what the market pays for the company.

How the numbers are made

Reserves, resources, ownership interests and drilling activity are extracted from each company's own documents by software, and every figure keeps the sentence it came from so it can be checked. The valuations use fixed in-ground prices (A$4 per barrel of oil, A$0.40 per thousand cubic feet of gas) rather than forecasts, and the calculator on each company page lets you change the assumptions yourself.

How the articles are written

Stockle's articles are drafted with the help of an AI model from the company's own announcement and from Stockle's extracted data, under rules that every fact must come from those sources, that uncertainty and changed timings are stated, and that nothing is presented as advice. Each article lists its sources and links to the company's calculator. Figures shown with an article are reproduced from the cited company announcement.

What Stockle is not

Stockle provides general information only. It is not financial advice, does not recommend buying or selling any security, and figures can contain errors. Always check the company's own disclosures before making a decision.
