30 Jan 2015security holder rights change● Neutral
5,750,000 unlisted performance rights held by directors and officers lapsed on 29 January 2015 because performance conditions were not met. 3,925,000 unvested rights remain on issue. No cash or share count change.
Final Jervois airborne data are in and, per Core, confirm conductive zones; early processing suggests target depths of 100-300m, suited to RC drilling. CSIRO modelling is due in February, with drilling planned for March 2015. No drill results yet.
All Virginia (12 holes) and Copper Royals (6 holes) results are in: anomalous copper and zinc but no significant mineralised zones. The Virginia copper is described as inconsistently mineralised. This disappoints the copper drilling flagged since October; Core now turns to Jervois, with drilling planned for March 2015.
First 5 of 12 Virginia holes show elevated copper, best 3m at 0.9% copper from 3m (VGRC003), with two holes showing nothing significant. Core says this confirms a mineralised structure at depth. Remaining assays and Copper Royals results are due early January.
1 Dec 2014capital raising announcement● NeutralMajor
Core raised $750,000 via a placement of 15,000,000 shares at 5c, an 11% discount to last close, each with a free 10c option expiring 31 January 2016. Fees are 6%. Funds support Q1 2015 Jervois drilling and copper follow-up. Shares on issue rise to about 150.5M.
What it means for a shareholder
15.0m new shares at $0.050 to raise about $750,000. Shares on issue before the raise aren't in the record, so the dilution can't be worked out.
RC drilling has started at Virginia, the first ever drilling there, to be followed by Copper Royals targets about 20km west. First assays are expected in 3-4 weeks. This starts the copper drilling flagged since the October quarter report.
Non-executive director Michael Schwarz, on the board since the 2011 IPO, will retire effective 28 February 2015. No replacement is named in the announcement.
The Virginia airborne survey found a significant conductive target below the 1.5km outcropping copper zone, where 75 rock chips average 2.4% copper. Core adds drill holes to test it; there has been no previous drilling there, and RC drilling is planned for late November.
Core has extended the airborne EM survey over Virginia and at least nine Copper Royals prospects before drilling. Preliminary results are expected in 2-4 weeks, with drilling to start as soon as they arrive. This follows the Jervois survey and adds a step before the copper drilling.
Preliminary airborne survey data at Jervois show large conductive targets, including a cluster 2-3km long about 5km east of KGL's 25Mt copper resource. Final modelling with CSIRO is due December 2014, and drilling is planned for Q1 2015. These are targets, not drill results.
32,716,567 listed 10c options lapsed unexercised on 31 October 2014, as did 1,500,000 unlisted options at $0.2463. No cash was raised from the listed options. Shares on issue stay at 135,486,287.
Final assays from the Inkheart/Blueys drilling extend silver-lead mineralisation to at least 500m of strike, best 3m at 198 g/t silver and 4.1% lead (IKRC016). It remains open along strike and at depth. Focus now shifts to Virginia and Copper Royals; further Inkheart work is to be considered in early 2015.
AGM presentation repeats known results and plans: Inkheart drilling, copper targets ready to drill in Q4 2014, and the Jervois AEM survey. It shows about 134M shares and about $1.3M cash at 30 September 2014.
First assays from the follow-up drilling at Inkheart extend the silver-lead zone, with best results 3m at 268 g/t silver and 8.0% lead and 6m at 95.6 g/t silver. Seven of nine holes reported had significant hits. Roughly half of the assays are still pending, due within two weeks.
Airborne EM surveys have started over the 20km Jervois prospective zone next to KGL's 25.3Mt copper resource, with preliminary results expected in 2-4 weeks. The 2,500m Inkheart/Blueys drilling is complete, with first assays due that week.
Core completed the purchase of the Albarta joint venture interests, issuing 10,000,000 shares for 14 granted tenements, half escrowed 6 months and half 12 months. Core now holds 100% of over 2,000km2. Registration of the tenements in Core's name is still to occur. The managing director also received 500,000 shares on vesting performance rights.
Letter to holders of 32,720,296 listed options (10c, expiring 31 October 2014). Exercising all would lift shares on issue to 157.7M and raise about $3.3M (inference from the numbers). The share closed at 6.6c on 1 October, below the 10c exercise price, and there is no underwriting.
The 2014 annual report lists Heath Hellewell as a non-executive director and recaps the year's Albarta tenement purchase agreements and Jervois ground. The Chairman says an airborne EM program is planned within six months, with CSIRO help, and Fitton awaits a uranium price recovery. Financial figures were not in the text provided.
Presentation at the Melbourne Resources Round-up conference repeats known facts: about 124M shares, about $1.6M cash at 22 August, RC drilling underway at Inkheart, and copper IP targets ready to drill. Albarta 100% is still shown subject to Ministerial approval.
Core has started the 2,500m follow-up RC drilling at Inkheart and Blueys, the silver-lead-zinc discovery from June 2014. It is due to finish in 2-3 weeks, with assays expected in October. This starts the drilling flagged in August, slightly later than planned.
Geologist Heath Hellewell joins the board as an independent non-executive director. He co-founded Doray Minerals (Andy Well gold discovery) and was part of the Independence Group team behind Tropicana. He is co-winner of the 2014 'Prospector of the Year' award.
August/September 2014 update presentation says drilling starts next week. It shows about 124M shares, about $1.6M cash at 22 August 2014 and a market cap near $7M. It repeats known results; Albarta 100% remains subject to ministerial approval.
Core defined a 20km prospective zone in the Jervois area, running through its four tenements (about 280km2) next to KGL's project. Soil surveys start this month, then airborne EM surveys, with first results expected October 2014.
15 Aug 2014capital raising announcement▲ GoodMajor
Core raised $1,000,000 via a placement of 18,181,818 shares at 5.5c, a 5% discount to the last close and a 2% premium to the 15-day VWAP. It funds Blueys/Inkheart, Virginia and Copper Queen drilling and Jervois exploration. Fees are 6%.
What it means for a shareholder
18.2m new shares at $0.055 to raise about $1.0m. Shares on issue before the raise aren't in the record, so the dilution can't be worked out.
A 2,500m RC follow-up program at Inkheart/Blueys is set to start in the first week of September, taking about 3 weeks, with assays toward end-September. Copper drilling at Virginia and Copper Queen is to follow.
Mapping and sampling found copper outcrop up to 8.9% at the new Jay and Manny prospects, tied to a 2km magnetic feature in the Greater Paradise Well area. It adds drill targets; no drilling is reported.
All approvals are received to resume follow-up drilling at the Blueys and Inkheart silver-lead-zinc discovery. Drilling tenders are being assessed, and a start date is due within two weeks. This clears the Q3 follow-up drilling thread.
IP surveys found chargeable drill targets beneath surface copper at Copper Queen, where rock chips run up to 20% copper and 72.3 g/t gold. RC drilling there and at Virginia awaits approvals expected later this quarter.
Core began copper exploration on four 100%-owned Jervois-region tenements (about 280km2) after neighbour KGL hit 13m at 5.75% copper, 500m from Core's EL 29581. Soils and mapping are planned this quarter to find drill targets.
