Kolibri to frac three Clifton Mack wells once drilling ends, with output expected in Q3 2026
Kolibri says it will fracture stimulate three 1.5-mile lateral Clifton Mack wells after drilling finishes, with production currently expected in the third quarter of 2026.
Kolibri Global Energy plans to fracture stimulate three Oklahoma wells once drilling is complete, with production "currently expected in the third quarter of 2026", according to its May 14, 2026 first-quarter results.
The wells are the Clifton Mack 11-14-1H, 11-14-2H and 11-14-3H, each a 1.5-mile lateral. Kolibri holds an 88.1% working interest. The company said it was drilling them as of the announcement. Fracture stimulation, which pumps fluid into the rock to open flow paths for oil, follows drilling. The third quarter runs July 1 to September 30, 2026.
Why it matters
Kolibri is a small oil producer focused on Oklahoma's Tishomingo field. First-quarter 2026 average production was 4,685 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD), up 15% from 4,077 a year earlier, which the company attributes to wells drilled and completed in 2025. If the Clifton Mack wells start on schedule, they would add to that base. The announcement gives no expected rates for them.
What the company holds
- Lovina Well Pad: 2.086 million barrels of P50 oil reserves (stated December 22, 2025); Kolibri's interest is 100%.
- Tishomingo Field: 26.169 million barrels of P50 oil reserves (stated March 18, 2026); Kolibri's interest is 4.9%.
The filings supplied do not say how the Clifton Mack wells relate to these reserve figures, so their effect on reserves is not known.
Financial backdrop
First-quarter net revenue was $19.6 million, against $16.4 million a year earlier. Net income fell to $4.0 million from $5.8 million, mainly because of a $2.9 million unrealized loss on commodity contracts as oil prices rose. Net debt was $45 million at March 31. Management aims to reach $25 to $30 million by the end of 2026, with capital spending forecast well below last year's.
What is uncertain
The timing is an expectation, not a commitment. The company gave no date for finishing drilling or starting the frac, and production is described only as "currently expected" in the third quarter. The window has now passed, and the filings supplied contain no update confirming whether production began. Any slip in drilling would push back the frac and first production.
