Province plans 6 deep RC holes at Gnama in 1H 2023, testing extensions of the mafic-ultramafic intrusion found in 2022. Heritage, flora and fauna surveys must be finished first. Southern Geoscience will review old EM surveys. No new results.
Gnama South RC drilling hit mafic intrusive rock in all 3 holes, with a geochemical signature similar to the Eye intrusion hosting IGO's Nova-Bollinger, and bedrock sulphur averaging 0.5%. No nickel sulphide mineralisation is reported. Further RC and diamond drilling is approved.
Metallurgical testwork found no viable process option for the Skåne vanadium mineralisation, as the vanadium sits in muscovite and flotation failed. The planned economic study is deferred. A Swedish court rejected appeals against the 10-hole Tomelilla drilling approval. The 116.9Mt resource is unchanged.
Gnama drilling is finished: 870m in 3 RC holes beyond 250m depth, plus 29 air core and 4 shallow RC holes at Gnama North. Downhole electromagnetic surveys are done; assays are expected in about eight weeks. No results yet; follow-up drilling is approved.
Reverse circulation drilling starts at Gnama South in the Fraser Range: 3 holes to a maximum 300m each, testing below an old nickel-copper anomaly (20m @ 0.57% Ni). Downhole electromagnetic surveys follow. Further drilling is approved if results are positive.
Phase 1 air core drilling begins at Gnama North, about 2,000m on one tenement, smaller than the roughly 3,200m originally planned. Results are expected Q1 2022. Gnama South drilling is now expected in the first half of 2022 after approvals.
Province restarts work on its Skåne vanadium project in Sweden, with metallurgical testwork then a Micon scoping-level economic study. Testwork is due Q1 2022 and the study Q2 2022. The existing resource of 116.9Mt at 0.39% V2O5 is unchanged; no new drilling.
Fauna survey fieldwork at Gnama South is finished. The Programme of Work still awaits the flora report, and heritage surveys with the Ngadju are being planned. An RC and diamond program targets nickel-copper below historic holes such as 20m @ 0.57% Ni; no start date.
Flora survey is done at Gnama South and a fauna survey is about to start. An RC and diamond program is planned to test for nickel-copper below historic holes such as 20m @ 0.57% Ni. The Programme of Work awaits the flora report; no drilling date is set.
Province has lodged Programmes of Work for a first-phase air core program of about 3,200m at Gnama North in the Fraser Range. Drilling starts after DMIRS and Ngadju heritage approvals. It tests regional geochemical targets, not a resource; historic 20m @ 0.57% Ni is cited.
Swedish metallurgical pre-study found pressure oxygen leaching recovered only about 30% of vanadium from Skåne shale, lower than expected, because the vanadium is locked in illite clay. Further testwork on other methods is needed, a setback for the Skåne vanadium case.
Initial helicopter survey at Pascalle shows no clear massive sulphides, though 14 subtle anomalies and disseminated gold-copper style targets remain untested. At the 950km2 Paterson South applications, the Tabletop 2 magnetic/gravity bullseye is flagged as a priority. Resolves the pending survey; no drilling yet.
The helicopter electromagnetic survey over Pascalle has begun and should take 6-7 days. No results yet; it feeds planning for the maiden drill campaign targeted for the second half of 2020.
Maiden JORC resource at Hörby: 116.9Mt @ 0.39% V2O5, of which 61.8Mt is Indicated and the rest Inferred, with 1,005 million pounds contained V2O5. This is the first resource at Skåne, and it appears to exceed the 50Mt @ 0.5% inferred-resource milestone in tonnes though at lower grade (inference).
Second batch of Hörby assays from three more holes: combined seams of 10.5-12.3m @ 0.39-0.40% V2O5, with dip of 5-8° east and no significant faulting. Results are consistent with the first batch and all five mineralised holes have now reported.
First Hörby assays: hole HDD001b shows two seams totalling 12.3m @ 0.40% V2O5 from 35.7m depth. That is well below the historic Fågeltofta-2 (9.7m @ 0.61%) about 40km away, though it confirms regional continuity. Remaining results due in coming weeks.
Maiden Hörby campaign finished: 602m across six holes, 92% core recovery, Dictyonema Formation hit in five. The programme was expanded, and dip was found shallower (5-7°) with less fault throw than assumed. Assays are expected in coming weeks.
Two of five Hörby holes done. Hole 1 hit the Dictyonema Formation shallow, confirming the historic Lyby-1 hole. Hole 2 did not, as the formation is deeper than the historic fault interpretation implied, so it was stopped. Progress slower than planned; no assays yet.
Maiden drilling began at Hörby on the Skåne project, expected to take three weeks. Diamond holes up to 125m will test the thickness and grade of the Dictyonema Seam and supply core for metallurgical work. First drilling since the 2018 relisting.
DrillCon Group appointed for the five-hole Hörby diamond programme, starting in August and expected to take three weeks. Holes up to 125m will test the Dictyonema Seam's thickness and grade. This resolves the contractor selection that was open.
Unpublished 1997 historic drilling at Fågeltofta showed 9.7m @ 0.61% V2O5. With Flagabro Creek and Gislövshammar, the company reports a roughly 10m seam over at least 26km of strike, supporting the 610-1,200Mt exploration target (not a resource).
Surface sampling at Flagabro Creek in the Killeröd permit found a peak of 0.81% V2O5, with 13 of 14 samples in the main horizon above 0.4%. The shale is over 10m thick, supporting the historic data behind the Skåne exploration target.
Shareholders approved the Skåne acquisition and relisting at the 12 September meeting. An Exploration Target (not a resource) of 610-1,200Mt at 0.5-0.8% V2O5 was set for the whole project, and 350-440Mt within granted permits, based on limited historic data.
Senergy's independent report puts Block 14 at 1.5 billion barrels gross unrisked prospective resource (560 million net to the company at 37.4%), from 30 traps of 50 million barrels each. Chance of success is only 4.5%. This delivers the report due in late October.
Itheria-1 spudded on Block 9, planned depth 3,256m, about 80 days, 394mmboe mean prospective resource. Agri now holds only 5% of Triton, so exposure is indirect. Also reports second-generation biofuel study favours cellulosic ethanol or biomass-to-liquids, with more investigation needed.
Operator signed a rig contract with Sinopec for the two-well Syria Block 9 program, starting July 2011. Itheria-1 (394mmboe mean) is expected to take about 80 days. Notes Syrian security is being monitored.
New 3D seismic interpretation lifts Syria Block 9 prospective resource for the two 2011 prospects to a mean 505mmboe (RPS Energy, 100% basis), from an earlier operator estimate of 220mmboe. Itheria geological chance of success is 19%. First well expected to spud late in the June quarter 2011, subject to rig availability. These are prospective, undrilled volumes.
