Meteoric flags iron ore potential at its 100%-owned Robinson Range project, based on old Geological Survey sampling up to 62.5% Fe over 13km of iron formations. No access yet because of a heritage agreement dispute; no drilling done.
First Harrods South resource: 545,000t at 1.5g/t gold (27,000oz, all Inferred). Combined with Harrods Central, the Harrods total rises to 61,600oz. Cash is $1.7m after an investment sale; economics are being assessed given the improving gold price.
Rutherfords Find assays are weak: best 2m at 3.32g/t, and the company says grades are unlikely to be economic at current gold prices. Deeper Harrods Central holes confirm mineralisation to 150m but missed the earlier 20g/t+ high grades. Scorpion Well shows nickel-copper hints.
Annual report to 30 June 2007 repeats the Harrods Central resource (712,000t at 1.5g/t, over 34,000oz) and the Image joint venture. It notes poor open-pit returns at current gold prices, and that deeper drilling and Harrods South modelling are in progress.
Three Rutherfords Find holes (624m) hit quartz veins and silica alteration 150m to 170m deep, 50m to 100m below earlier intercepts, with the thickest 14m of alteration. These are geological descriptions only; gold assays are still awaited.
Drilling has started at Rutherfords Find, Bullfinch: three holes, 500m, below the earlier 4m at 10.5g/t. The rig then moves to Harrods Central deeper targets, and a 3,500m aircore programme at Scorpion Well starts within a week.
June quarter report says preliminary open pit studies show a poor economic return for Harrods Central at current gold prices and costs, so deeper higher-grade drilling is planned for late August/September. Scorpion Well drilling was deferred to mid August for rig availability.
March quarter report repeats the Harrods Central resource (712,000t at 1.5g/t) with deeper drilling planned for June/July 2007. Scorpion Well RAB drilling is due late May, with Rutherfords Find and Top Well drilling in June.
First resource estimate for Harrods Central: 712,000 tonnes at 1.5g/t gold, over 34,000oz (452,000t Indicated, 260,000t Inferred). Deeper high-grade targets starting about 120m down will be drilled when a rig is available. Open pit optimisation studies are being prepared.
Half-year accounts to 31 December 2006 show a loss of $717,991, down from $954,590 a year earlier. The directors' report repeats the Harrods Central drilling, Barkly results and the Image joint venture already announced.
December quarter report repeats the Harrods Central RC results (2m at 11.7g/t best) and the new Image joint venture. Resource modelling is due end February 2007. Magnetic surveying at Scorpion Well has identified targets.
The 52-hole, 3,280m RC programme at Harrods Central is finished, with best results of 2m at 11.7g/t and 2m at 9.4g/t, confined to about 50m depth. Mineralisation is open to the east and south. Consultants will model a near-surface resource by end February 2007.
All five AGM resolutions passed on a show of hands, including re-electing Sakalidis and 800,000 options each for Thomson, Sakalidis and Thomas. Proxy votes against the director options were substantial for Thomson, Sakalidis and Thomas in the proxy figures.
Meteoric can earn up to 70% of three Image Resources gold projects (Scorpion Well, Top Well, Mt Remarkable) by spending $700,000 over six years. The first 30% needs $300,000 within two years, with a $150,000 minimum before withdrawal.
Image Resources' side of the same deal: it farms out the three gold projects (244 sq km) to Meteoric to focus on mineral sands. Same terms as Meteoric's release, up to 70% for $700,000 within six years. Nothing new.
September quarter report: modelling indicates 25m x 20m drilling should define a resource at Harrods Central, and a 3,000m RC programme starts in early November. Bluebird RAB found two anomalous copper-gold zones needing deeper drilling after the wet season.
Notice of the 16 November 2006 AGM. Shareholders vote on the remuneration report, re-electing George Sakalidis, and granting 800,000 options each to Thomson, Sakalidis and Thomas. Routine meeting administration.
2006 annual report: about 50,000m drilled in the year, mostly at Wilthorpe, with Meteoric holding 90% there. It repeats results already announced. Issued capital is 43,781,701 fully paid shares and 15,516,934 partly paid shares.
A 3,000m RAB programme starts this week at Bluebird in the Barkly joint venture near Tennant Creek, following an earlier hit of 8m at 1.0% copper. Meteoric has earned 51% and can reach 70% by spending $200,000 by November 2009.
June quarter report repeats the Harrods Central results (7m at 13.4g/t, 10m at 7.1g/t) and the 26 July news. Modelling is due mid August ahead of a major drill-out. It also notes new exploration at Ularring and Ruby Well.
The close-spaced 54-hole RC programme at Harrods Central is finished, with best results of 7m at 13.4g/t and 10m at 7.1g/t. Mineralisation shapes can now be interpreted with some confidence; the two panels are under 20% of the area, and a major drill-out is likely in the September quarter.

Notice that 7,027,886 partly paid shares (20c unpaid) and 5,260,257 ordinary shares will be released from escrow on 16 July 2006. This is a routine compliance notice.
March quarter report: the 3,000m close-spaced RC and 5,000m RAB programmes at Wilthorpe are nearing completion, with assays expected mid to late May. Cash and liquid assets are $2.6 million after the roughly $1 million placement.
Further 1m RC results at Harrods Central include 2m at 12.9g/t and 1m at 12.5g/t. Meteoric has now drilled 72 holes there, and the 3,000m close-spaced RC programme was delayed by rain and is due to start within a week.
Half-year accounts to 31 December 2005 show a loss of $954,590, versus $1,281,698 a year earlier. The directors' report repeats the Harrods South, Harrods Central and Bullfinch drilling results already announced.
Administrative notice for the 23 February placement (2,786,000 shares at $0.33 and 928,666 contributing shares at $0.05, $965,813). The shares are issued today under ASIC relief from secondary sale restrictions. No new information.
23 Feb 2006capital raising announcement● NeutralMajor
Placed 2,786,000 fully paid shares at $0.33 and 928,666 contributing shares at $0.05, raising $965,813. Cash and liquid investments will be about $3 million. Funds go mainly to Harrods drilling: 3,000m close-spaced RC plus RAB programmes starting early March.
What it means for a shareholder
2.8m new shares at $0.330 to raise about $965,813. Shares on issue before the raise aren't in the record, so the dilution can't be worked out.
December quarter report recaps the Harrods South zone and Harrods Central RC results already announced, plus a 600m gold anomaly at Bullfinch (best 4m at 10.1g/t). Further Harrods drilling is anticipated. No new Harrods results beyond earlier releases.
