13 Dec 2012listing compliance notice▼ Bad
ASX queried the company over the late lodgement of director Michael Robson's interest notice; he was appointed 29 November 2012 and the notice was due 6 December. A possible listing rule breach. Company reply not included.
One-metre re-sampling of Bluebird hole BBRC-2 confirmed the earlier result: 4m @ 4.7% copper from 115m including 1m @ 16.2% copper. Mineralisation remains open at depth. Strengthens the November discovery.
Bluebird hole BBRC-2 hit 8m @ 2.20% copper including 4m @ 3.7% from 112m, below the earlier 8m @ 1.0% intercept. The EM conductor hole BBRC-1 found no mineralisation. First high-grade copper result at the prospect; ironstone appears to widen with depth.
September quarter: cash $902k, down from $1.167m. Three Bluebird RC holes completed after quarter-end hit ironstone but no massive sulphides; assays pending. GeoCrystal deal signed, Tibooburra JV being finalised, and iron, Wilthorpe and Golden Valley offered for sale.
17 Oct 2012asset acquisition disposition● NeutralMajor
Meteoric lodged a 65 sq km permit application over coarse flake graphite occurrences near Cortegana, Spain, with old workings reported at 10-20% carbon. Grant is not guaranteed. A new commodity outside its gold, iron and copper focus; no drilling or exploration yet.
RC drilling is set to start within two weeks at Bluebird, targeting the strong EM conductor BRK1-C1 (3000-8000S) within 100m of the earlier 8m @ 1.0% copper hole. Follows the August EM survey and moves the project from targeting to drilling.
Annual report for year to 30 June 2012 repeats known activity: Bluebird EM conductor, Tibooburra 51% earned, Coorara iron. Cash and share structure unchanged from prior reports (85.1m shares). Financial figures not visible in the text provided.
Citing a positive study on neighbouring Macarthur Minerals' Ularring project, Meteoric re-reports Coorara drilling at a 40% Fe cut-off, widening some intercepts and potentially enlarging exploration targets. No new drilling; the targets remain conceptual and wide-spaced.
A ground EM survey found a strong pipe-shaped conductor at the 100%-owned Bluebird copper-gold prospect near Tennant Creek, apparently untested by earlier drilling (8m @ 1.0% Cu). Four weaker anomalies also found; modelling is under way to pick drill targets.
June quarter: cash $1.167m. Meteoric stopped sole-funding Tibooburra and proposed a contributing JV to Awati, deferring RC drilling. The Webb IOCG tenements were surrendered. GeoCrystal may earn 70% of the kimberlite targets if it lists. Wilthorpe and Robinson Range are offered for sale.
March quarter: cash $1.475m. Tibooburra drilling defined a 500m mineralised zone, but results were lower grade than expected. Meteoric has earned 51%, RC drilling is planned for late May, and it is seeking buyers for the 61,000oz Wilthorpe resource and partners for its iron projects.
Completed 204-hole, 5,815m Tibooburra drilling gave results the company calls lower grade and narrower than expected. A twin of the 20m @ 5.22 g/t hole returned 7m @ 8.08 g/t, but a hole drilled beneath it hit only 2m @ 0.93 g/t. Over 400 samples await assay.
Half-year to 31 December 2011: loss of $698,271, down from $843,521 a year earlier. Operational review repeats Tibooburra and other known activity; no new results in the text provided.
21 Feb 2012capital raising announcement● NeutralMajor
Meteoric is placing 11,084,614 shares at $0.065 each to raise about $720k, mainly to fund Tibooburra drilling and working capital. This lifts issued shares to 85.1m and cash plus liquid investments to $1.5m after costs.
What it means for a shareholder
11.1m new shares at $0.065 to raise about $720,000. Shares on issue before the raise aren't in the record, so the dilution can't be worked out.
December quarter: cash $937k. Tibooburra 6,000m drilling has started. Coorara best result 8m @ 60.9% Fe, but most other holes missed the high surface grades. Robinson Range and Webb heritage terms are still not agreed.
A 6,000m RAB/aircore programme is due to start at Tibooburra to follow up the 20m @ 5.22 g/t gold result, testing 6.8km of strike. Coorara phase-two RC drilling (31 holes, 984m) is finished, with assays pending.
September quarter: cash $1.3m. Repeats Tibooburra New Bendigo results (20m @ 5.22 g/t gold) and the new Kink discovery, with further drilling being prepared. Second-round Coorara RC drilling is due to start in October.
Early Coorara holes hit shallow hematite-goethite iron: 8m @ 60.9% Fe from 10m and 8m @ 59% Fe from 14m, open at depth and to the south. Nine more targets remain in the 1,300m programme. A first encouraging result after earlier thinner intercepts.
A 1,300m RC drilling programme has started at Coorara to test for direct shipping iron ore in hematite-goethite zones. Completion is expected in early November. Follows the earlier scout drilling that found thinner, higher-silica mineralisation than surface sampling.
Amended October presentation; the main change is that exploration target ranges are restated: Coorara 400-500Mt, hematite 10-15Mt, Robinson Range 50-100Mt. Otherwise the same as the earlier version. Targets are conceptual, not resources.
Proto Resources, which holds a minority stake in Awati and alluvial rights at Tibooburra, notes Meteoric's drill results and appends them. Third-party re-release with no new Meteoric information.
October presentation repeats known projects and Tibooburra results. It shows market capitalisation about $6m (down from ~$15m in February) and cash $1.2m. Coorara exploration target is stated as 500Mt; follow-up RC drilling is due to start.
One-metre re-assays confirm shallow high-grade gold at Tibooburra's New Bendigo: 20m @ 5.22 g/t from 8m, including 3m @ 22.62 g/t, and 4m @ 11.33 g/t at end of hole. Zone is open to the south; an untested western trend of old diggings remains.
Annual report for year to 30 June 2011 restates Coorara, Tibooburra and other activity already announced. Issued capital unchanged at 74.0m fully paid and 27.5m contributing shares. Financial figures were not in the text provided.
First-pass Tibooburra drilling (63 holes, 2,049m) at New Bendigo returns best 16m @ 3.45 g/t gold, including 4m @ 10.40 g/t. Meteoric has met minimum spend and may earn 51%. Preliminary 4m composites; 1m re-assays pending.
June quarter: cash $1.56m. Coorara sampling (105 rock samples) identifies elevated areas for a planned 1,500m drill programme from late August. Robinson Range heritage talks have still not reached agreement. Webb diamond farm-in to North Australian Diamonds repeated; Tibooburra drilling due August.
Further Coorara mapping found new hematite-altered BIF and detrital iron targets. A 2,500m RAB scout programme is planned from August, subject to permits and a rig. Tibooburra 3,000m RAB drilling is due late July; Webb access agreement reached.
Heads of Agreement lets North Australian Diamonds earn 70% of Meteoric's rights in four Webb tenements by spending $2.5m within five years of signing an access agreement. Minimum 1,000m drilling in first two years. Resolves the earlier joint-venture plan; access still pending.
March quarter: 25 Coorara RC holes (1,659m) found thinner, higher-silica mineralisation than surface sampling suggested, with further mapping under way. Cash is $1.7m. Tibooburra RAB drilling is expected in June/July; Webb diamond access terms remain under discussion.
