The Canegrass IP survey, delayed from the September quarter, started 15 November 2022 with Moombarriga Geoscience. It covers 7.7 line km to look for deeper targets beneath the March 2022 RC holes; further drilling depends on the results.
Exploration licence EL 6856 was granted, covering 991 km2 of the Loxton Sands in South Australia's Murray Basin, to explore for rare earth elements in clays. This adds a new commodity to a gold-focused portfolio, near Australian Rare Earth's Koppamurra project.
Half-year to 30 June 2022: Halls Creek field work is postponed to 2023 pending Kimberley Land Council heritage obligations. Gidyea exploration is targeted for April 2023, and a rare earths licence application in South Australia was lodged in August 2022. Canegrass IP survey is planned for late 2022.
The company admits it signed a tenancy with director Long Zhao in March 2021 without the shareholder approval required under Listing Rule 10.1. It has now cancelled the lease and Zhao refunded the $65,000 of rent paid.
Canegrass RC results were modest but encouraging: best 3 m @ 0.6 g/t gold (including 1 m @ 1.0 g/t) and 1 m @ 1.4 g/t, with some 4 m composites to be resampled. Further drilling may be warranted after data review. This follows up the 2020 Aircore 3.96 g/t hit.

2021 annual report restates known operations: Canegrass RC drilling done in February 2022 with results awaited, Halls Creek follow-up in Q2 2022, Gidyea granted. Chairman says Yitai provides a $2.4m interest-free unsecured loan facility plus up to $1m support until April 2023.
The seven-hole Canegrass RC program was completed; hole CGRC004 stopped at 72 m because of clay, while the others reached 90 m. 285 samples went to the lab, with results expected in 3-4 weeks.
RC drilling began 7 February 2022 at Canegrass: seven holes for 630 m, testing the area where the 2020 Aircore hole hit 1 m @ 3.96 g/t gold. Goldfields Drilling is the contractor. This ends the driller delays that had pushed the program from 2021.
AGM chairman's address: Halls Creek work was done in Q2 2021 with more planned in Q2 2022. Two drillers have pushed the Canegrass 400 m program to January 2022. Gidyea was granted; Kovac awaited. The parent continues interest-free loans.

Halls Creek rock samples, mainly from Black and Glidden, returned gold to 2.78 g/t, zinc to 12.6%, lead to 9.93%, copper to 0.82% and silver to 171 g/t. Soils were not significantly elevated. Further field work and drilling are planned for Q2 2022.
Half-year report to 30 June 2021 largely restates operations: Halls Creek sampling done, Gidyea grant intended, Kovacs pending, and Gindalbie RC drilling now planned for the December 2021 quarter. Financial figures are not in the text provided.
The Northern Territory government advised it intends to grant the Gidyea licence (ELA 32665) over the full application area near Tennant Creek. This advances the February 2021 application; the Kovacs application is still pending.
Halls Creek field work finished 1 July 2021, with 454 soil and 35 rock samples collected across the four tenements. Lab results are expected in up to 4 weeks. Follow-up will likely need helicopter support.
Halls Creek field exploration was to start 19 June 2021, subject to any COVID restrictions. It will go by vehicle and foot as no helicopter was available. This ends the 2020 deferral of work on the four 100%-held tenements.
