6 Aug 2025director officer appointment● Neutral
Patrick Sam Yue, a chartered accountant with 35 years' experience, joins as Non-Executive Director and Company Secretary. Jing Li resigns as director; Long Zhao stays as executive director but leaves the secretary role.
March 2025 quarter: Holey Dam was surrendered after February 2025 assays showed too little rare earth to justify more work. Remaining focus is the three Limestone Coast tenements, where approval for road-verge drilling is being sought for the June quarter.
2024 annual report: Yitai's interest-free loans total $4.6m. On 25 March 2025 Yitai stopped ongoing funding but extended repayment to 1 April 2026. Kaili Holdings (8.96%, controlled by director Jianzhong Yang) will fund operations for 12 months. Holey Dam was surrendered in March 2025.
Roadside traverses are complete across Lameroo, Karte and Coodalya, and council road-verge drill sites are selected. Planned shallow aircore holes up to 20 m deep still need South Australian government environmental approval before drilling. This is the Phase 2 preparation flagged earlier.
5 Dec 2024director officer appointment● NeutralMajor
Board change: Jialin Yang becomes Non-Executive Chairman and Rong Jin a Non-Executive Director, both Yitai Group executives. Chairman Donghai Zhang and director Chunlin Liu resign. Control stays with the Yitai side.
Investor presentation restating operations: Holey Dam and the three Limestone Coast rare earth tenements, plus the pending Kovacs application. Notes Canegrass was relinquished in October 2024. Total tenement area is shown as 2,287 km2. No new results.
September 2024 quarter: after parent Yitai decided to end its debt financing facilities by 1 April 2025, the company reviewed strategy. The four Halls Creek tenements and Canegrass were surrendered in October 2024; focus stays on the Limestone Coast and Holey Dam rare earths, subject to funding.
Half-year report to 30 June 2024, mostly restating operations: Lameroo drilling, new tenements and Phase 2 preparation, plus Holey Dam pXRF work. Financial figures not seen in the text provided.
2023 annual report: the chairman says Canegrass and Holey Dam gold results do not justify more gold spending, so rare earths are pursued at Holey Dam. Yitai's interest-free loan support is extended to April 2025, so no equity raising is sought. Halls Creek licences renewed to 2028.
First Lameroo aircore results from 40 holes were low: best 1 m @ 356 ppm TREO, then 271 ppm and 228 ppm. Magnetic rare earths average 17% of the total. Results are used to plan later drilling.
Two new South Australian rare earth licences were granted for six years to February 2030: Karte (590 km2) and Coodalya (408 km2). Combined with Lameroo, the Limestone Coast holding becomes 1,985 km2, all 100%. Lameroo drill results still awaited.
Lameroo aircore drilling finished: 40 holes to 20 m each, 800 m total. Samples go to ALS in Adelaide for rare earth assay and results will be announced. No assays yet.
Aircore drilling for rare earths began at Lameroo EL 6856 on Saturday 3 February 2024, 800 m in total with holes up to 20 m deep. This is the program planned since the 2023 drill-site identification; assays to follow.
Single-metre re-sampling at Holey Dam gave rare earth oxide results up to 866 ppm over 1 m, with 6 m @ 641 ppm in HDRC001 and 5 m @ 628 ppm in HDRC002. Magnetic rare earths are 20-30% of samples. Focus shifts from gold to rare earths; shallower areas to be aircore drilled.
RC assays from the August drilling: Holey Dam gave rare earth oxide intersections up to 757 ppm over 1 m, and 12 m @ 477 ppm. Canegrass gave gold to 0.57 g/t and a 4 m zinc-sulphur zone. No new high-grade gold; adds rare earth and zinc potential.
Half-year report to 30 June 2023, mostly restating operations: soil sampling, RC drilling completed July/August, Halls Creek still awaiting 3 of 4 work programs, and Tennant Creek costs under review. Lameroo historic hole samples gave no significant reportable rare earth results. Financials not seen in the text provided.
The RC program at Canegrass and Holey Dam was completed, totalling 1,148 m across nine holes against 1,170 m planned. Laboratory results are to be announced when received, so no assays yet.
A 1,170 m RC drill program started 10 July 2023 at Canegrass and Holey Dam, testing IP targets CGIP 1, 2 and 4 plus two Holey Dam holes. This is the follow-up drilling long planned since the 2022 IP survey, slipping from the May timing given in the soil results.
183 soil samples at Canegrass showed a gold-in-soil trend to 11.9 ppb at CGIP 1, open to the north, and elevated rare earths at CGIP 4. A 1,100 m RC drill program is planned for end of May, including two Holey Dam holes.
A preliminary drill site inspection at the 991 km2 Lameroo rare earth licence in South Australia identified 234 aircore drill sites. Six granite samples went to the lab and historic drill samples will be scanned. It follows the October 2022 grant; no drilling yet.
Rock sampling at Canegrass returned gold up to 0.6 g/t at the top-priority target CGIP 1, which is open to the north. Soil results were still awaited; drill testing is now planned for Q2 2023, earlier than the Q3 2023 timing in the annual report.
2022 annual report: Canegrass RC and IP work recap, with more drilling planned and significant effort on rare earths in 2023. Halls Creek is called challenging and the Northern Territory licence is under review. Yitai's interest-free loan facility now runs to April 2024, extended from April 2023.
Appendix 4G governance checklist lodged with the 2022 annual report, pointing to the governance statement on the company website. Administrative only; no new operational or financial information.
Soil and regolith survey at the four Canegrass IP targets was completed in 6 days: 173 soil samples and 27 rock samples are with the lab. Drill testing remains planned for Q3 2023, guided by these results.
Soil sampling and regolith mapping began 27 February 2023 over four IP targets at Canegrass Prospect F. Drill testing is now planned for Q3 2023, later than the Q1/Q2 2023 timing in the January quarterly.
AGM presentation largely repeats known facts: the Canegrass RC and IP results and the project portfolio. It lists 147.4m shares, a last sale of $0.013 and a market cap of $1.92m, down from $0.031 and $4.57m in December 2021.
The Canegrass IP survey finished, finding a significant chargeable anomaly along strike from the 2022 RC drilling plus a weak one 100 m south. The company says further RC drilling is warranted in 2023, which resolves the Q4 2022 IP step.
