Core has applied for approvals to drill at its 100%-owned Napperby uranium project, which holds an 8.03Mlb U3O8 inferred resource, with drilling expected later this year. It also flagged gold, niobium and rare earth style targets; Entia and Fitton uranium projects are being reassessed.
Core finished the maiden Shoobridge drilling (3,535m) and has started a 12,000-15,000m Finniss program targeting new lithium within trucking distance of the Grants plant. Shoobridge assays are due in September and Finniss results in the December quarter.
Core confirms it offered Charger Metals a non-binding all-share scheme merger, 0.9 Core shares per Charger share, first proposed on 25 July 2024. The offer is subject to due diligence, and Core says Charger has not provided access. It would add Charger's Bynoe and Lake Johnston projects.
This is Charger Metals' announcement, not Core's. Charger says it received Core's unsolicited non-binding all-scrip offer of 0.9 Core share per Charger share (about A$6.5M, A$0.084 per share), and its board says the terms undervalue it. This is the first public sign of Core's bid.
ASX temporarily paused trading in Core shares pending a further announcement. This is a procedural step; the Charger bid disclosed the same day is the likely context (inference).
June quarter concentrate production was 20,563dmt as stockpiles ran out, with record shipments of 33,027dmt. Mining and processing are suspended and the site is kept restart-ready. Cash was A$87.6M, and about 5,178wmt of concentrate and up to 75,000wmt of fines remain unsold, valued at ~A$14.8M.
Administrative notice of the timing of the June quarterly report (17 July) and investor webcasts (17 and 18 July). It contains no new business information.
Drilling has started at Shoobridge, with a 2,800m scout reverse circulation program testing old tin-tantalum workings for lithium for the first time, plus a 4.5km gold trend. It is the first drilling of the FY25 exploration program, following the 2023 program.
FY24 concentrate production was 95,020dmt, at the top of the 90,000-95,000dmt revised guidance, with sales of 97,423dmt. Processing has now stopped and Finniss is paused. Cash was A$87.6M with no debt; an NT royalty assessment of about A$6.4M for FY23 will be contested.
James Virgo, interim CFO since March 2024, is appointed permanent CFO from 24 June 2024. Outgoing CFO and interim CEO Doug Warden leaves at the end of the month. This settles the interim finance role.

March quarter: concentrate production 24,927t (28,837t prior), recoveries averaging 63%, and only 10,199t shipped. Cash fell to A$80.4M from A$124.8M, including the A$10M Lucas settlement. About 139kt of stockpile remains, with processing due to finish mid-2024; plans to restart exist if prices recover.
Finniss resource rises 58% to 48.2Mt @ 1.26% Li2O, from 30.6Mt @ 1.31%. Lees and Booths combined grow 429% to 14.5Mt, and Seadog gets a maiden resource. Measured and Indicated is 27.9Mt, about 58% of the total.
Final 2023 assays include 70m @ 1.40% Li2O at Ah Hoy and 78m @ 1.30% Li2O at Seadog, plus new regional targets. A resource update is expected next month, and a new exploration strategy and budget next quarter, focused on larger pegmatite targets.
CEO Gareth Manderson, in the role since August 2022, steps down; CFO Doug Warden becomes interim CEO and James Virgo interim CFO from 18 March. An executive search is under way. Core also notes inbound enquiries about its Napperby and Fitton uranium projects.
Half-year to 31 Dec 2023: revenue A$134.8M but net loss A$167.6M, including A$119.6M impairment (confirming the flagged Finniss writedown) and A$27.6M onerous contract provisions. Cash was A$124.8M; 49,530t concentrate produced. The loss contrasts with the FY23 profit.
Results release for the half-year: net loss A$167.6M after a A$119.6M impairment and A$27.6M onerous contract provisions; revenue A$134.8M, cash A$124.8M. FY24 production guidance revised to 90,000-95,000t concentrate. Primero has been given notice that plant operations end once stockpiles are processed.
Non-executive director Andrea Hall resigned effective immediately. She was a director since April 2023 and chaired the Risk & Sustainability Committee. She said she was retiring to enable a board fit for the future; a successor chair for that committee is to be announced.

The Lucas mining services contract (signed Sept 2021) is terminated by mutual agreement, with Core paying Lucas A$10M. Stockpile processing continues to mid-2024. Core will look for alternative mining solutions if open pit mining restarts, which has been suspended since January.
Core says its 2023 exploration program (over 68,000m drilled) is complete. BP33 hole NMRD085 hit 90.17m @ 1.80% Li2O, not yet in the resource model. Lees-Booths and Penfolds results are being interpreted for resource updates; the newest-target drill results are pending.
December quarter: concentrate production rose to 28,837t (20,692t prior) with recoveries averaging 60%. Cash fell to A$124.8M from A$202.1M. Mining and BP33 early works stay suspended, with capital and cost guidance reduced and the BP33 resource upgraded by 35%.

Administrative notice that the December quarterly report will be released on 24 January 2024, with an investor call that day and a retail shareholder webcast on 25 January. No new business information.
Strategic review outcome: Grants open pit mining is temporarily suspended and processing continues from about 280,000t of stockpiles, enough until mid-2024. BP33 early works stay paused after box cut completion. Core flags a likely impairment of Finniss in half-year results.
A strategic review is under way because spodumene concentrate prices have fallen over 80% this year, over 40% since end-October. BP33 early works are suspended, and mining may be temporarily curtailed. Processing of the ROM stockpile continues through the wet season.
Chair's AGM address reviews FY23 and the A$108M equity raising, with A$202M cash and no debt at 30 September. It says spodumene prices have been weak, and the company is taking a prudent approach to staging expansion. No new numbers.
