A 2,000m reverse circulation drill program has started at Fitton, testing Scott Lee, Choppy and several nearby magnetic look-alike targets. It is Core's first drilling at Fitton. First assay results are expected by late November.
October company update presentation repeating the Albarta (16 tenements, 1,650km2), Fitton, Yorke Peninsula and Roxby South projects. It states drilling is planned this month at Fitton and in 2013 at Albarta. No new results.
Notice of a Boardroom Radio interview with the Managing Director on the silver, lead and zinc results from the new tenement next to Fitton. The announcement itself carries no new results or figures.
Newly granted EL 5015 Yerelina adds close to 1,000km2 beside Fitton. Sampling of old mine workings returned up to 203 g/t silver and 13.34% combined lead and zinc. Takes Core's tenure around Fitton above 1,000km2 and opens a base-metal theme alongside copper.
Notice of a Boardroom Radio interview with the Managing Director giving an update on the new Albarta Project in the Northern Territory. The announcement itself carries no new results or figures.
Core assembled 16 mostly contiguous tenements covering about 1,600km2 in the East Arunta copper-gold province, NT, called the Albarta Project, via two farm-in/JVs, one acquisition and two applications. Exploration starts Q4 2012, with drilling targeted in 2013. Deal terms are in a schedule not visible here.
2012 annual report: the chairman calls the year one of consolidation, citing the Yorke Peninsula drilling and Fitton discoveries. Fitton drilling is planned late 2012 and the company is talking with third parties about growing its portfolio. Largely restates known results; financial figures not visible in the text provided.
Rock chips at the new Choppy prospect, 400m from Scott Lee at Fitton, assayed up to 4.7% copper with gold and silver. Three more magnetic targets were identified. Follow-up assays are now due late September; first drilling still planned for later in 2012.
Notice of a Boardroom Radio interview with the Managing Director on the new copper found in outcrop at Fitton's magnetic targets. The announcement itself carries no new results or figures.
Copper mineral (malachite) found in outcrop about 400m southwest of Scott Lee at Fitton, plus a gold target 2km southwest (0.91 g/t). Confirms the new magnetic targets carry copper at surface. Assays due end of August; first drilling still planned late 2012.
Ground magnetic surveys at Fitton found new targets resembling Scott Lee, including a 1,400m by 250m anomaly 2km southwest. Whether they are mineralised is unproven; follow-up sampling is underway and the first drill program is planned later in 2012, subject to approvals.
Notice of a Boardroom Radio interview with the Managing Director updating on South Australian copper projects. The announcement itself carries no new results or figures.

Roxby Downs licence EL 4906 is granted, so Core now holds 400km2 of granted 100%-owned ground about 40km south of Olympic Dam. Core has appointed a corporate advisor to help negotiate with parties wanting a joint venture or acquisition. Resolves the pending grant.
Broker presentation repeats Yorke Peninsula low-level copper results, the Fitton uranium-copper outcrop results and the 400km2 Roxby South tenure. Fitton drilling is planned for August/September. No new data.
Fitton rock chip sampling at the Scott Lee prospect returned 0.34% U3O8 (3,370ppm), a four-fold rise on the previous best uranium value, 200m from a copper sample above 5%. Drilling is now planned for August/September 2012.
Final assays from the 2,000m Yorke Peninsula program show more low-level copper, best new result 5m at 0.1% copper including 1m at 0.36% in WTDD008. Core calls it low grade but says it supports targeting for higher grades. Completes the April/May assay thread.
Conference presentation gives first Yorke Peninsula assays: multiple intersections up to 0.45% copper at Wauraltee, with remaining assays due mid-May and drilling to resume in June 2012. Earlier release described the copper as low-level; the table shows mostly small intervals.
First assays from the maiden Yorke Peninsula diamond program gave multiple copper intersections, and Core plans an expanded diamond program from June. Fitton drilling is now set for early in the September quarter, and Core is considering a partner for Roxby South.
The Roxby Downs licence application (ELA 09/227) has been offered for grant by the SA Government, giving Core over 400km2 of 100%-owned ground south of Olympic Dam. Core is assessing options, which may include a senior partner. Final grant follows a 28-day advertising period.
Broker Octa Phillip has started research coverage of Core, with the report posted on the company website. The announcement itself carries no results or figures.
Notice of a Boardroom Radio interview with the Managing Director on Yorke Peninsula drilling progress and strategy. The announcement itself carries no new results or figures.
Copper conference presentation repeats the Wauraltee visual copper sulphide finding. Only 350m of the 1,500m target length has been drilled so far. Assays are expected in April. No new data.
The maiden 2,000m diamond program saw visible copper sulphides in all three holes at the Wauraltee prospect, within IOCG-style alteration up to 15m wide. Only visual logging so far; no assays yet, and the company describes the copper as low-level. Assays are due in April.
Half-year to 31 December 2011: net loss of $246,927, against $262,305 a year earlier. Interest income was $115,906. The report restates exploration activity already announced and contains no new results.
Core started a 2,000-2,500m diamond drilling program with two rigs on its 100%-owned Yorke Peninsula project, testing six gravity-magnetic targets next to Rex's Hillside. Drilling was expected to take about a month, with first assays due in April.
Exploration licence EL 4816 (Sandy Point), over 200km2 about 40km south of Olympic Dam, has been granted. Together with the Roxby Downs application it covers about 400km2. A 10km gravity ridge is highlighted; the Roxby Downs grant is still pending.
New rock chip sampling at Fitton found a second shear zone 200m north of the main one, with 121ppm uranium. Another sample in the main zone gave 157ppm uranium. Infill sampling is planned for March and drilling for Q2 2012.
