Bought out Falconbridge's option to earn 65% of Kerr-Sulphurets for 200,000 shares and up to 2.0 million conditional warrants, taking the project back to 100% and planning a 2006 program to test the Mitchell gold zone. This is the transaction that makes KSM wholly Seabridge's, and Mitchell is the zone that becomes the core of it.
Closed a C$8.44 million placement of 875,000 shares at C$9.65, with insiders taking 205,000 of them - 161,500 through Pan Atlantic Bank and Trust, controlled by Albert D. Friedberg, then the largest shareholder. Friedberg entities are still buying Seabridge placements a decade later. Proceeds were for the Noche Buena acquisition and drilling.
Agreed to buy the Noche Buena gold project in Sonora, Mexico from Hecla Mining for US$4,350,000 in cash, after commissioning its own technical report on it.
Identified a new target at the Four-Mile Basin property in Nevada and designed a 2006 program to test it - one of the small US properties later folded into Wolfpack Gold.
Planned a 15,000 metre drill program at Courageous Lake, funded by a $3.1 million flow-through financing - the fourth flow-through round in fifteen months.
A new technical report by SRK added 1,729,000 tonnes at 2.97 g/t (165,000 ounces) of inferred resources at the 100%-owned Red Mountain project in British Columbia, a 34% increase, and said there was room for more.
Filed a technical review of the Courageous Lake property by Resource Modeling Inc, the consultant that goes on to build every Seabridge resource model for the next decade.
Raised $2.25 million in flow-through shares to fund exploration at Courageous Lake. The first financing in the record, and the template for two decades of them.
