Maiden Inferred resource at Wilclo South, Waddikee: 6.38Mt @ 8.8% graphitic carbon, about 550,000t contained graphite (5% cut-off), including 1.75Mt @ 12.5%. Delivers the resource awaited since April drilling; metallurgy and Francis drilling planned next.
June 2013 quarter: cash $1.375m after $789,000 exploration spend. Wilclo South maiden resource now expected early August, slipping again from late July. Antofagasta has spent about US$3.8m at Punt Hill; Alliance received Woomera access deed and EL 5259 granted.
Final Wilclo South assays include 10m @ 24.4% graphitic carbon and 12m @ 17.5%, with up to 45% over one metre. AMC Consulting's JORC resource is now expected by late July 2013, slipping from the earlier late-June target.

The Alliance withdrew from the Falcon Minerals option over two Peake-Denison tenements after gravity modelling showed no suitable large copper-gold target. This ends the option signed in December 2012; the US$25,000 upfront payment appears spent for no result.
Gravity survey at Algebuckina outlined two copper-gold targets, Eitzen Bore and Ruby Hill. The project now covers three tenements (1,702km2) after the Falcon pair were dropped. Ground magnetics follow, then a budget decision at the August Antofagasta meeting; drilling possible in September quarter.
Initial Wilclo South assays are arriving, with all expected within three weeks. Petrology on 12 samples shows more coarse flake graphite. AMC Consulting is engaged to produce the JORC resource, expected by end of June 2013.
May 2013 MD presentation largely repeating known facts: cash $1.5m at 31 March, share price 4.1c, market value $6.1m. Waddikee JORC resource is now expected mid-late June. Granite from Punt Hill hole HODD3 dated as Hiltaba age, the same age as Olympic Dam mineralisation.
A gravity survey has started at Algebuckina, the first Antofagasta Alliance project, over four copper-gold targets, taking about two weeks. A Native Title agreement with the Arabana group is to be signed shortly. Drilling is planned for the third quarter 2013.
Monax signed a term sheet with Fortescue's FMG Resources for the Reedy Lagoon copper-gold project (EL 5026), giving an exclusive due diligence period and a right to negotiate a farm-in. Terms are non-binding and access to the tenement is not yet granted.
March 2013 quarter: cash fell to $1.6m after $0.9m of exploration spend. Wilclo South drilling finished, and the Algebuckina gravity survey is planned for May. A new Western Gawler Craton nickel-copper project is being moved from the Alliance to Monax. Marmota stake worth $2.2m.
Francis, a second graphite prospect at Waddikee, returned 15m @ 20.7% graphitic carbon and 12m @ 21.9%, with up to 38.1% over one metre. This adds a second high-grade zone alongside Wilclo South; Wilclo South results are due in 4-6 weeks.
The 2013 Waddikee drilling is complete: 87 holes (8,315m), including 77 at Wilclo South and seven at Francis, where two holes showed coarse visible graphite. Samples go to the lab, with results in 4-6 weeks and a JORC resource to follow in a further 4-6 weeks.
Petrology confirms coarse flake graphite at Waddikee's Wilclo South, flakes averaging about 0.45mm. All 77 RC holes (7,307m) are drilled, and diamond drilling for metallurgical samples has started. Francis drilling follows; 13 more petrology results are due in 3-4 weeks.
Half-year report to 31 December 2012: net profit $1,911,837 versus a $1,071,950 loss a year earlier. Antofagasta has spent US$3.76m at Punt Hill against US$4m needed to earn 51%. Text shown does not explain the profit; no cause is stated.
RC drilling began at Waddikee, mainly at Wilclo South, where earlier holes gave 15m @ 16.3% graphitic carbon. Limited drilling at Francis and Argent. Expected to take 4-6 weeks, aiming for an inferred resource by mid-2013.
Ground EM survey shows a continuous conductor over 2km at Wilclo South, open at both ends. A 70-hole RC drilling program starts this week, mostly at Wilclo South, aiming for an inferred resource by mid-2013. Francis and Argent follow.
December mapping samples at Wilclo South assayed up to 13.6% graphitic carbon, with graphite now traced ~3.5km. Lacroma had a sample at 23.9% but the graphite is fine-grained. Drilling starts mid-February, aiming for an inferred resource by mid-2013.
South Australian Government approved the Falcon option, so the Alliance can begin exploration on the two tenements. Landowner and Native Title approvals come next, then a gravity survey. The Algebuckina project now covers five tenements totalling 2,853km2.
December 2012 quarter: cash $2.6m after $1.6m exploration spend. Punt Hill program finished, with about US$3.8m spent by Antofagasta to date. Falcon option added to the first Designated Project. Waddikee drilling planned mid-February. Marmota stake worth $1.95m.
The seven-hole Punt Hill program (6,875m) finished mid-December. Beyond the 75m @ 0.2% Cu in MMDD01, the remaining holes found no extensive mineralisation; Monax turns to other areas. Wilclo South graphite extends to ~2.5km, with RC drilling planned for early 2013.
Monax Alliance signed an option to buy two Falcon Minerals tenements (Peake-Denison, northern SA) for US$25,000 upfront, then US$50k, US$75k and US$250k over three years, plus US$10m on a decision to mine. They join the first Designated Project; a gravity survey comes first.
Falcon Minerals' version of the same deal: it grants Monax Alliance an option over its Peak-Denison copper-gold project on the same terms (US$25,000 upfront, staged payments, US$10m on a decision to mine). Falcon calls the project non-core.
Waddikee presentation covering graphite, manganese and iron on the ~1000km2 tenement. Manganese drilling includes 52m @ 21.2% Mn, but IP surveys failed to give good drill targets. Share price 5.1c. Largely repeats known facts.
AGM presentation by the Managing Director repeating known facts: $2.9m cash at 30 September, Punt Hill 75m @ 0.2% Cu, graphite beneficiation testing under way at Waddikee. Share price 5.4c, market value $8.1m. Five Punt Hill holes done at that date.
Chairman's AGM address: strategy is to keep exploring while conserving cash. Antofagasta spends about A$2.3m at Punt Hill in 2012, nearing US$4m to earn 51%. The 3.4m Marmota share sale raised about $647,000. Melton is now lower priority.
AGM results: all resolutions passed, including the remuneration report, re-election of director Glenn Davis and new proportional takeover provisions in the constitution. Administrative.
September 2012 quarter: cash was $2.9m after Monax sold 3.4m Marmota shares for about $647,000, leaving 32.6m shares (14.28%). Punt Hill drilling continues, Antofagasta approved its first alliance Designated Project, and Phar Lap drilling is now planned for early 2013.
First Punt Hill hole of the 2012 program (a re-entry of MMDD1) returned 75m @ 0.2% copper from 990m, including 10m @ 0.72% copper. Skarn alteration widens the prospective area. Four holes are done; the other three found no or weak mineralisation. Antofagasta funds the program.

Monax Alliance withdrew from the ERO Northern Gawler Craton term sheet. Its gravity survey over the Welbourn Hill target found no suitable target for a large copper-gold body. This ends the thread opened on 10 September, with no farm-in.
ERO Mining says Monax Alliance completed its roughly 900-station gravity survey and decided not to explore further, so ERO keeps 100% and will review the data itself. Third-party confirmation of Monax's withdrawal; the rest covers ERO's other projects.
