DYL agreed an earn-in on Universal Resources' EPM 14367 near Mt Isa: minimum $100,000 spend by end-2009, then 51%, and up to 80% uranium rights with a further $150,000 by end-2010. A small, low-cost addition to its Mt Isa holdings.
Uranio (DYL holds 30%) says an airborne survey shows a large conductive unit beneath the Don prospect at Gardner Range, WA, site of a 1980 intersection of 0.44 m at 1.5% U3O8. Drilling is now planned for 2009 after the wet season.
Krucible Metals signed a heads of agreement to earn 80% of DYL's Pilgrim phosphate tenement (EPM 15072, Qld) by spending $400,000 over four years. It can buy 100% for 1m Krucible shares within two years. Small non-uranium asset.
More Isa West assays across 2 km of strike, best 5 m at 1,606 ppm and 13 m at 784 ppm U3O8. A single hole at Eldorado North, 2 km further south, hit 20 m at 437 ppm. Builds on last week's results; mineralisation is open.
Namibian update: Inca mineralisation keeps expanding, best new hole 5 m at 1,631 ppm eU3O8. New Oryx prospect hit 27 m at 588 ppm, 8 km north of Tumas. Tubas trench detail drilling is adding a second aircore rig. Gamma results, not chemical assays.
First Isa West assays (Xstrata JV, Mt Isa) include 42 m at 400 ppm U3O8 and 30 m at 410 ppm. DYL calls it a greenfields discovery. It expects to reach $1m spend by early November, triggering the next earn-in phase ($9m over 4 years).
Slance North West (Ewen, Matrix JV) RC drilling returned 12 m at 1,338 ppm and 16 m at 964 ppm over 115 m strike, down to 150 m vertical depth, open to the south and at depth. Both RC rigs have moved to Isa West.
Toro finished 2008 Napperby drilling: 333 sonic and 784 aircore holes. Its resource update is now expected in early 2009, slipping from Q4 2008, and the scoping study moves to early 2009. Toro keeps its option to buy 100% from DYL.
Inca (formerly M1) magnetite prospect in Namibia hit 54 m at 670 ppm eU3O8 (headline 607 ppm), including 11 m at 2,981 ppm, in a separate anomaly 600 m south of the main area. 96 holes are drilled and a second rig added. Gamma results, not yet confirmed by chemical assay.
Slance North East (Mt Isa) RC drilling returned 19 m at 774 ppm and 16 m at 427 ppm, tested only to 50 m depth, with follow-up planned. In Namibia a 20,000 m aircore contract went to Wallis Drilling, starting mid-September, replacing two RC rigs.
Mt Isa results: Conquest Central RC drilling hit 14 m at 1,008 ppm, extending the earlier 22 m at 575 ppm zone, which remains open to the south. Mt Isa West trench samples reached 4 m at 8,557 ppm. Namibia: Tumas resource drilling closes end August.
Matrix Metals, DYL's partner in the NW Queensland JV, re-releases DYL's Conquest Central results, including 14 m at 1,008 ppm uranium oxide. It adds no new information.
Toro reports its 2008 Napperby drilling at about 7,500 m, with 800 more holes planned and good continuity of mineralisation southwest of the existing resource. A resource update stays planned for Q4 2008, with a scoping study in the second half. Toro still holds its option over DYL's project.
Toro doubled the Napperby Inferred resource to 4.6 Mt at 305 ppm for 1,420 t U3O8, from DYL's 670 t estimate. Toro holds the option to buy the project from DYL; a further update is planned for Q4 2008, later than the June-quarter target.
1-15 July Namibian results include Tumas 4 m at 1,032 ppm, Tubas M1 16 m at 637 ppm, and trench samples up to 1.86% U3O8. Isa West trench resampling gave 3.5 m at 3,409 ppm; RC drilling to be designed. Incremental results, no resource yet.
Tubas M1 uraniferous magnetite drilling, first found in March, returned 849 ppm eU3O8 over 11 m within 59 m at 237 ppm. A sixth RC rig is now drilling it; similar anomalies B and C will be drill tested shortly.
Tumas palaeochannel hole returned 853 ppm U3O8 over 20 m, and the Tubas trench gave up to 7,875 ppm in 1 m samples (1,430 ppm over 9 m). Trench is free-digging; about 4,000 samples will take 2-3 months to assay. Supports the Namibian resource drive.
First Queens Gift diamond holes (Mt Isa) returned 21.0 m at 893 ppm eU3O8 and 24.4 m at 513 ppm, following the May start of drilling. Separately, old data show phosphate on Sherrin Creek EPM 16007, best 4.3 m at 14.8% P2O5; DYL will talk to interested parties.
Aussinanis RC drilling of an airborne-EM channel found shallow low-grade mineralisation, with logged grades of 231-291 ppm eU3O8 over about 4-6 m. Tubas bulk-sample trenching and Tubas magnetite grid drilling have started; Queens Gift diamond drilling continues.
Tumas palaeochannel drilling returned a best chemical assay of 1,722 ppm U3O8 over 13 m, plus logged intercepts up to 550 ppm over 8 m. Queens Gift diamond drilling has started (2,000 m planned). Toro's Napperby drilling averaged 469 ppm.
Drilling has grown from one to five RC rigs. A new palaeochannel was found at Tumas West and Northwest, with best results 902 ppm eU3O8 over 10 m and 500 ppm over 14 m, both from surface. Tubas S-Bend and Aussinanis returned smaller intercepts. Airborne EM survey nearly complete.
Namibian update: a Tubas magnetite diamond hole intersected 229 ppm eU3O8 over 115 m, and Tumas RC drilling found 571 ppm over 8.7 m from surface outside the old Falconbridge area. Alaskite diamond drilling started; airborne EM survey due this week.
Helicopter-supported ground checking of airborne anomalies returned rock samples up to 32,935 ppm (3.29%) U3O8 across all four Namibian licences. Samples are likely positively biased, so this shows prospectivity, not resource. Airborne EM survey to follow.
Scissor hole AM3 at the Tubas iron-oxide prospect returned 37 m at 260 ppm and 4 m at 715 ppm U3O8 (preliminary), confirming depth mineralisation seen in AM1 and AM2. Final assays due mid-February; two diamond holes planned.
Deep Yellow gets a four-year earn-in option over uranium rights on six Xstrata tenements (504 km2) west of Mt Isa, needing at least $10m of spending ($1m in year one). Xstrata keeps copper and other minerals and a 1.5% net profit royalty if mined.
Two angled RC holes at the Namibian iron-oxide prospect confirm uranium at depth, e.g. 26 m at 217 ppm and 16 m at 286 ppm U3O8 (preliminary assays). Directors call it potentially economic; the trend runs 5,000 m, with final assays due mid-February.
Conquest Prospect near Mt Isa, in the Matrix JV, returned 22 m at 575 ppm and 13 m at 723 ppm U3O8 in one hole of a seven-hole, 750 m programme. Directors call it significant with potential economic implications; further drilling planned early in 2008.
Ground teams in northern Tubas EPL 3496 found a new alaskite uranium occurrence (composite samples 2,000-4,500 ppm U3O8, about 4 km2 mapped) and an iron-oxide outcrop with 200-400 ppm dump samples. Drilling follows in January; a new style beyond the known shallow deposits.
