Deep Yellow agrees terms to farm Napperby out to Toro Energy, which would pay $2.3m in Toro shares upfront, spend $750,000 a year for 3 years, and can buy 100% for roughly A$4.50-6.00/lb of agreed resource. The deal reverses the plan to drill Napperby further itself and is subject to due diligence and a binding agreement.

Deep Yellow will take up its 51% interest in the Matrix NW Queensland JV, issuing 21,459,541 shares by 28 Feb and spending a further $2.6m by Feb 2009. It can then pay $3m for another 29%. The decision was partly driven by the Miranda results.
Miranda drilling hit 12 m at 960 ppm U3O8 and 3 m at 730 ppm, a broad iron-oxide-linked zone. Lochness was disappointing, with values only to 68 ppm. This resolves the pending Mt Isa assays: Miranda is the follow-up target, Lochness needs mapping first.
Joint venture partner Matrix Metals repeats Deep Yellow's Miranda and Lochness drill results and says they support uranium potential on its tenements. It restates the earn-in terms. No new results.

All resolutions at the 2006 AGM passed, including Mervyn Greene's election, Dr Pretorius's re-election and option grants to directors. Routine administrative result.

September 2006 quarter: Namibian merger announced, with a 1-for-5 entitlement issue at 12c to raise up to about $15m. A JORC resource has been commissioned for the Napperby block, and early Western Gawler airborne surveys identified palaeochannels. Mostly repeats known facts.
Deep Yellow agrees to buy Raptor Minerals, holding 2,622 km2 of Namibian uranium licences near Langer Heinrich, for A$2.58m cash plus up to 174m shares (about A$26m). A 1-for-5 entitlement issue will fund it. Old resource estimates are not JORC-verified.
Final Napperby results (262 holes) continue to show higher-grade channels. A JORC resource for the 1,000 x 600 m block will be commissioned once duplicate and shoulder assays are in, the step that failed with 2005 drilling.
