Board lifts Namibian target to 50,000 t (110Mlb) contained U3O8 in known areas and expands drilling from one rig to five (two arriving December, two late January), aiming for about 15,000 m a month. Tumas JORC estimate expected first quarter 2008; airborne EM in January.
First JORC Inferred resource for Tubas, Namibia: 77.3Mt at 228 ppm U3O8, 17,600 t (38.8Mlb) contained, based on Anglo American's 1970s-80s drilling. The consultant warns confidence is low; Deep Yellow's own 722 holes are not yet included.
Miranda's 16-hole, 1,962 m programme returned wider intercepts including 32 m at 625 ppm and 25 m at 654 ppm U3O8, from about half the samples. Directors say Miranda has tonnage potential and warrants more drilling in 2008. The rig moves to the Ewen Project.
Matrix Metals re-releases Deep Yellow's Miranda drilling results, noting the ground is in the NW Queensland JV. Its copy gives hole DMRC-0008 as starting at 13 m, but the table and Deep Yellow's release say 3 m. No new information.
A second round of rock-chip sampling at Mt Isa found up to 1.17% U3O8 at Warwick; all 109 airborne anomalies are now visited. Miranda drilling has 9 holes done. The drill contractor demobilises 15 December, and a core rig for Queens Gift is now doubtful this year.
Matrix Metals re-releases Deep Yellow's 13 November Mt Isa rock-chip update, covering ground in the NW Queensland JV. It gives no new information of its own.
Mining 2007 Brisbane presentation largely repeats known projects. Updated points: about $70m cash, market cap about $500m, and a five-year exploration budget of about $70m (earlier $60m). It also lists Queens Gift hole DQRC-0044 at 11 m at 585 ppm.
September quarter report: Tubas drilling reached 573 holes, 14,431 m, with initial JORC resource estimates expected this coming quarter. It also restates Queens Gift results, cash of about $70m and an exploration budget of about $12m for 2007/08 (earlier stated as $15m). Mostly known items.
Queens Gift's 47-hole, 4,930 m RC programme is complete, with new intercepts such as 69 m at 467 ppm and 37 m at 538 ppm U3O8. Directors say it has potential to host an economically viable deposit. A 3-4 hole, ~1,200 m core programme is planned for late November.
Matrix Metals re-releases Deep Yellow's 5 October rock-chip announcement. It restates the JV terms: Deep Yellow earns 51% by spending $3m by February 2009, and can buy another 29% for $3m. No new information.
Rock-chip samples from helicopter checking of airborne anomalies returned over 0.2% U3O8 at 10 Mt Isa prospects, up to 2.94% at Miranda North. 12 of 56 anomalies checked are ranked immediate drill targets; scout drilling is planned for November. Samples are described as positively biased.
2007 annual report describes the year's transformation into a uranium explorer: the Oct 2006 Raptor merger gave four wholly owned Namibian licences, with Tubas drilling since April 2007. At least two more rigs are expected in Namibia toward end-2007. Text is truncated, so no financials are given.
Conference presentation largely repeating known projects. Updated points: 1,108,726,958 shares, about $70m cash, Paladin at about 15%, Western Gawler 145 holes (9,886 m), and Rum Jungle replacing Uranio as the planned partner on the non-core properties.
Queens Gift hole DQRC_0032 returned 50 m at 400 ppm U3O8 from near surface, the widest intercept to date. The programme is expected to grow from 39 holes (3,000 m) to 46 holes (5,000 m) once assays are in.
Tubas drilling (424 holes, 10,785 m) is finding thicker, higher-grade zones than Anglo American's historic data, with intercepts like 13 m at 1,050 ppm and 10 m at 1,638 ppm U3O8. Initial JORC resource numbers are expected within two months.

Agreed terms for Rum Jungle Uranium to acquire up to 70% of six Northern Territory properties, conditional on its ASX listing by 30 October 2007. Deep Yellow gets 2m shares and 2m options in Rum Jungle. Rum Jungle starts at 50%, reaching 70% by sole-funding $2m within four years.
First assays from 14 Queens Gift holes show broad uranium zones, including 4 m at 2,227 ppm and 10 m at 760 ppm U3O8. This is the first drilling result from the Mt Isa programme begun in July. 16 more holes are awaiting assay.
The 31,673,949-share shortfall was placed with Paladin Resources at 50c, raising $15.84m and lifting cash and liquid assets to about $70m. A $15m 2007/08 exploration budget was approved. Pretorius became Managing Director, Greene Non-Executive Chairman, and two independent directors joined.
Conference presentation largely repeating known projects. Updated figures: 1,077,053,009 shares, over $55m cash and receivables, and a five-year exploration budget of $60m.
25 July 2007capital raising announcement● NeutralMajor
Entitlement issue closed with 63% taken up: 53,228,125 shares at 50c raised $26.6m, above the $20m minimum. A shortfall of 31,673,949 shares (not underwritten) remains; directors are considering placing it.
What it means for a shareholder
53.2m new shares at $0.500 to raise about $26.6m. Shares on issue before the raise aren't in the record, so the dilution can't be worked out.
June quarter report: entitlement issue raised $26.6m, Napperby conditions completed, Mt Isa RC drilling under way (Queen's Gift 16 holes, 1,003 m done), and Tubas drilling in Namibia confirmed the Anglo-discovered resource. Mostly repeats known items; CLC access decision still awaited.

All conditions for the Napperby Option Agreement are met, so Toro's 3-year option starts. Deep Yellow received 3,066,667 Toro shares (about 2% of Toro) at $0.75. Toro plans resource drilling from late August or early September.
First assays from Tubas in Namibia, with 112 holes (4,193 m) drilled, run up to 1,790 ppm U3O8 over one metre. They closely match or exceed Anglo American's 1970s-80s data. More rigs are being sought to speed JORC conversion.
