Heads of agreement to acquire an initial 51% of the Blackwood Gold Project (EL 5479, Victoria), rising to 65% on a 300,000oz resource and 80% on a decision to mine. Also a $450,000 placement at 1.5c, subject to due diligence; second Victorian gold project after Bullarto South.
Oceltip Metals agreed to fund $2 million of exploration over three years on tenements next to Yanrey (E08/2017, E08/2385-87, plus applications E08/2666-68) to earn 60%, with Cauldron keeping 40%. Oceltip can extend by two years if it spends at least $1m.
Bennet Well resource rises to 38.9Mt @ 360ppm eU3O8, 30.9Mlb (up from 21.5Mlb in July), with Indicated 18.1Mlb and Inferred 12.5Mlb. Grade up 33% from 270ppm. This follows the Bennet Well Channel drilling; mineralisation remains open.
25 more holes (2,411m) show Bennet Well Channel mineralisation extends at least 7km southeast, with at least 11km total known length, still open. Best: 4.45m @ 518ppm. Ravensgate will be commissioned to estimate a resource for the channel.
Drilling restarted at Bennet Well Channel, with hole BW0098 hitting 1.80m @ 2,900ppm eU3O8, including 1.10m @ 4,520ppm. Drilling continues at spacing aimed at an Inferred resource; inclusion in the 21.5Mlb resource is not yet determined.
First two holes (159m) at a regional target, Manyingee South, about 16km from Bennet Well, hit uranium, e.g. 0.75m @ 289ppm eU3O8. It is 4.5km from Paladin's Manyingee deposit. Early and thin; extends the 22 September Exploration Target testing beyond Bennet Well.
Recent drilling plus historic Dynasty Metals holes suggest the Bennet Well Channel could extend 7.5km southeast, beyond Cauldron's licence. It has applied for new licence ELA E08/2774 to secure the ground. The extension is interpreted, not yet a resource.
First seven holes (703m) in the Bennet Well Channel hit uranium, e.g. 4.15m @ 529ppm eU3O8 from 88.9m. A new channel extends 3.2km southeast, and the company says its Exploration Target for this area rose five-fold. Drilling of the 4,000m program continues.
New Exploration Target 'BW Extended' of 19-54Mt at 300-420ppm, for 18-53Mlb U3O8, across 17 areas, on top of the existing 21.5Mlb resource. It is conceptual, not a resource; drilling is under way to test it.
About to start a 40-hole, 4,000m mud rotary program at Bennet Well, mostly to extend the resource and improve metallurgical understanding. Part is greenfield targets co-funded by the WA grant of up to $150k. Follows the July resource upgrade.
Bennet Well resource rises 16% to 21.5Mlb eU3O8 (36.1Mt @ 270ppm), with Indicated up 90% to 11.9Mlb. Builds on the late-2014 drilling. WA government grant of up to $150k for drilling; new drilling planned September 2015 quarter.
Drilling outlines a high-grade zone at Bennet Well East, peaking at 2500ppm eU3O8 (e.g. 1.25m @ 2500ppm); the over-500ppm contour covers 500m by 175m. A core rig is added to fast-track field leach trials. Builds on October's first holes.
First two holes of the 10,000m Bennet Well program hit shallow, high-grade uranium at Bennet Well East, best 1.55m @ 667ppm eU3O8 from 47.75m including 0.4m @ 1340ppm. Early results; management says shallow depth could mean lower-end ISR costs (company view).
A$1.5m, 10,000m mud-rotary program of about 100 holes at Bennet Well to start 14 October, ahead of a leach test planned for the June 2015 quarter. Shareholders approved the placements on 30 September; A$5m received so far, A$6m expected within two months.
Bennet Well resource rises 18% to 18.6Mlb eU3O8 (32.4Mt at 260ppm) from 15.7Mlb, after 8 core holes. 29% is now Indicated. It follows the delayed revision flagged earlier; a 100+ hole drill campaign starts late September.
Independent work says high porosity (31%-43%) in Bennet Well core requires a moisture correction of 1.33 to 1.61 on all drill holes, so the 15.7Mlb resource is expected to rise significantly. Revised estimate due May 2014; no size given. Recalibration lowers grades by up to 9%.
Core assays from Bennet Well show uranium about 20% higher than the earlier gamma probe estimates; best hole YNDD018 5.1m @ 1209 ppm U3O8, a 68% grade-width increase. Ravensgate is working on a revised JORC 2012 resource. This suggests the existing resource may be understated.
Diamond core at Yanrey's Bennet Well found uranium in all eight holes, best 6.48m @ 602 ppm eU3O8. Results suggest the resource could grow north and south. Barradale looks more complex. A resource upgrade and scoping study are planned; leach and metallurgical results due late 2013.
An independent report finds a gravity anomaly over 1km deep beneath the old Ooloo mine at Marree, matching the earlier IP anomalies. Cauldron plans one deep hole in late 2013 or early 2014, subject to available funds. Builds on the May and June 2013 Marree work.
Mapping at Marree's Mt Freeling prospect found a 1.6km mineralised fault zone with workings; rock chips peaked at 2,830 g/t silver and 33.9% lead. Drilling is being planned. Builds on the Ooloo work after the weak March drilling, but samples are from old mullock heaps, not drilled.
Reprocessed 1970s IP data shows a 1.5km by 500m resistive zone southwest of the old Ooloo silver-lead mine at Marree, similar to Ooloo's response. A historical pit sample assayed 7.92% lead. Heritage agreements now allow drilling access. It indicates alteration, not direct detection of sulphides.
Diamond drilling of 500m at the Yanrey Barradale Channel is set for early to mid-May 2013, with Terra Drilling contracted. It will re-drill three earlier holes abandoned in hard cemented bands. Follows the failed December-quarter drilling at Barradale.
First Marree base metals drilling: eight RC holes (898m) mostly failed to reach target because the rig was inadequate for ground and water conditions. Three holes gave anomalous silver, lead and copper, lower than surface values. Falls short of the October 2012 discovery hopes; further mapping and sampling planned.
Yanrey exploration target raised to 30-115Mlb U3O8 at 250-900 ppm, from 25-30Mlb. It is conceptual, not a resource. Barradale Channel drilling is planned for Q1 2013, weather permitting. Follows the 15.7Mlb resource upgrade.
Yanrey inferred uranium resource rises about 300%, from 4.8Mlb to 15.7Mlb at 270 ppm eU3O8, after 7,146m of drilling, per Ravensgate. It adds Bennet Well East and South resources. This resolves the earlier upgrade expectation; the exploration target is being revised further.
First-ever drilling at the Marree silver-lead-zinc anomaly is set for early January 2013, with a rig mobilised before Christmas and heritage clearance for ten sites under way. This is later than the early-to-mid December start flagged on 13 November; lab results are expected in January.
Bennett Well South drilling shows a third high-grade uranium palaeochannel at Yanrey, 2.5-3m thick, with a potential length of 10-20km by 500m wide. Builds on the 9 Nov 11m intersections; the company says it supports an exploration target upgrade, still conceptual.
Board fast-tracks exploration at the Marree 8km x 10km silver-lead-zinc anomaly: about 6,000 soil samples and a gravity survey now, with drilling possible from early to mid-December 2012. First modern ground exploration there; an Induced Polarisation survey is proposed for Q1 2013.
The first two Bennet Well South holes hit 11m-wide uranium zones (grade widths 950 and 989 ppm.m), with oxidised and reduced sediments suggesting a nearby roll-front. The company expects a significant upward revision of the exploration target; drilling ends mid-November.
Hole YNMR048 at Bennet Well East recorded a preliminary peak of 9,970 ppm eU3O8, with 3.3m @ 1,596 ppm from 57.7m. It is the highest grade so far in the new channel; results are field gamma readings, not yet validated.
